UBI were appointed for the relocation of Allstate NI into their new purpose-built building.

The Challenge

Relocate 1300+ staff from two locations in central Belfast to their new NI HQ with complex I.T. equipment over 6 phased weekends. Being Northern Ireland's largest IT company, we had deadlines to meet and had to ensure there was no downtime to any staff. To manage the delivery, installation and recycling of all packaging of 2800 x 24” monitors in phases through our warehouse. The rotation of crates throughout the whole project.

The Solution

Our dedicated project managers worked closely with Allstate months prior to the actual relocation understanding the critical requirements of the moves, meeting with heads of departments to ensure everything eventuality was covered off. We even carried out a mock move prior to install confidence and eliminate any potential issues. Our I.T. project manager worked closely with Allstate`s own I.T. managers on the lead up to moves to prepare for this complex move.

The complexity was further compounded by a need to move out of our old locations before a fixed date whilst not having confirmed dates for the new building floors being ready for occupation until a week or two before each phased move in. Being Northern Ireland's largest IT company data security is critical to Allstate and we required a trustworthy, professional and diligent move partner that we could rely upon to treat our business items with the highest standards of information security. Alan and the UBI team were able to advise throughout and developed a plan built around our many complexities with organisation, security, reliability and flexibility at its core. All move risks to our business were identified by UBI in the planning stages and effective controls put in place for each move phase. Communication was excellent throughout and Allstate staff received instructions in advance of their move detailing step by step how their personal move would develop. UBI moved between 250 and 380 employees on each move phase taking place on weekends with Allstate dropping no operations, having no data breaches, losing no equipment and having no damages. The UBI movers were experienced, professional, friendly and showed an outstanding work ethic, they were a real pleasure to work with and received numerous compliments from Allstate staff on how they managed whole project.
