Central Bank of Ireland
UBI were successfully appointed by 1080/Alpha to manage and complete the installation of Height Adjustable Workstations in Dublin for the Central Bank of Ireland.
The Challenge
UBI liaised closely from the beginning of this project with 1080 and the Main contractor to eliminate any potential issues that could arise, although we had agreed certain criteria it was obvious that due all the other site activities we would have struggled to hit the programme. Adding to this, in between desks were special tall lamps that had to be installed and hard wired as went along, we had to work closely with the electricians and contractors on site so that everyone could complete their part in this key stage of the installation.
The Solution
We called an all parties project meeting within the first week and we agreed that the only way we could get the product to the relevant floors and for UBI to meet the Project hand over date was to develop a plan to utilise the hoist after 8pm in the evenings when it wasn’t saturated by other trades and planned in smaller weekend crews to enable us to push the programme forward, we agreed costs with all parties resubmitted RAMS and rescheduled our teams accordingly. UBI dealt directly with all suppliers on 1080`s behalf for non-conformity and delivery shortages.
